This Opportunity:

We're seeking a Design Support Assistant to join our growing team! This role is your opportunity to contribute to the creation of detailed, high-quality Telecom and ICT drawing packages, utilizing state-of-the-art REVIT, CAD, and other technical production tools. You'll be part of a dynamic team working on innovative, award-winning projects, with the unique chance to see your designs become reality.

Your Impact:

Revit Modeling: Utilize your expertise in Revit to contribute directly to the development of major data center facilities and top Hyperscalers data centers. Your detailed modeling work will help design the telecommunications infrastructure that supports global connectivity and data management.

BIM/CAD Design Assignments: Work independently on a variety of BIM/CAD design tasks supporting telecommunications engineering disciplines. Your role is critical in producing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models, ensuring technical precision and alignment with project specifications.

Technical Production and Quality Control: Employ state-of-the-art technical tools to create high-quality drawing packages that meet required schedules and quality standards. Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control on design packages to ensure they meet kW Mission Critical Engineering's high standards.

Collaborative Design Process: Engage with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that all telecommunications designs are not only technically accurate but also align with client's visions and operational needs. Your role is crucial for the seamless integration of various systems within each facility.

You are a detail-oriented professional passionate about telecommunications infrastructure, with a solid understanding of OSP and ISP systems. Your skills extend to intricate pathway planning, sophisticated cabling strategies, and optimal layout of telecom rooms. With a solid foundation in REVIT modeling, you are continually driven to refine your technical abilities and stay ahead in the dynamic field of telecom design.

Your Experience & Skills:

Required Qualifications

  • 0-1 year of experience designing low voltage systems for high performing commercial, industrial, or mission critical/data center buildings

  • High School diploma or technical degree

  • Experience with applicable software packages including AutoCAD, Revit

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail, highly organized, self-starter

  • Ability to travel to project sites

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Mission Critical/Data Center experience

  • Experience with international projects

  • RCDD and/or DCDC certifications

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.

Expected Salary: $40,300 - $66,500
