Job Description

Automation Controls Engineer I. Apply engineering automation / electrical controls principles, technical validity and product application capabilities to ensure successful solutions for large-scale dust extraction an industrial air filtration equipment. Collaborate with Project Design Team and MCT Division to create loT Monitoring Dashboards in Insight Cloud Based Platform for End User Solutions. Commission, test and debug turn-key electrical measurement, loT monitoring and control solutions to eliminate defects, errors and problems with product or software development. Train End User staff on use of Insight loT Monitoring Platform and provide ongoing support for these accounts. Provide timely technical support to end-users and technical staff on new and legacy control systems. Participate in product localization, standardization, BOD (Basis of Design) and development on Insight measurement, monitoring and electrical controls programs to ensure solution meets local requirements. Coordinate and prioritize BOD development for use in key target markets. Architect, write, and debug PLC Programming Logic. Generate organized & structured code that is well documented and reusable for customized systems. Design control panels that comply with Electrical & Safety Standards required in North America. (NEC, NFPA, UL508A, etc.). Up to 20% of teh position involves travel to support sales, product development, beta test site commissioning and review. No specific geographic region. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical engineering field. Will accept a foreign degree equivalent. 2 years of experience in job offered or a related electrical or controls engineer position. The experience must include: 2 years in industrial ventilation solution design & troubleshooting; 18 months working with production machinery, industrial sensors [VFD’s, temperature / flow / pressure controllers / sensors] and particulate monitors. This experience must include field and remote support of commissioning process and troubleshooting systems; 18 months working on process integration and electromechanical/mechatronic systems using field bus networks, serial communication & Ethernet communication; and, 18 months designing systems and creating documentation to meet the Authority Having Jurisdiction’s requirements for facilities handling combustible and non-combustible materials.
