Summary

Save the Children’s Department of Hunger and Livelihoods works to ensure that households and communities vulnerable to hunger and shocks build resilient, inclusive and transformative livelihoods and wellbeing, and ensure that young people successfully transition to positive adulthood through access to integrated economic opportunities to get decent work, continue education, live healthy lifestyles and be civically engaged. We are seeking an intern to support our Food Security and Livelihoods team across a variety of programs, projects, and special initiatives.

What You’ll be Doing (Essential Duties & Responsibilities)

• Support the development and updating of communication materials including program briefs/one pagers, case studies on priority topics, and materials for external dissemination for conferences and learning events.
• Support in planning internal learning events within FSL team members and SCI staff related to our key projects and/or NBD opportunities as needed.
• Support as needed the Program Advisors, Senior Advisors and the larger DHL team to clean/redact and submit approved deliverables, reports and studies.
• Support as needed in developing and updating a consolidated repository (organized by heme/sector and/or country).
• Support other special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be an actively enrolled in an Associate, Bachelor, Master or other post high school education program, or have graduated within 6 months of intern program start date.
• Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Currently eligible to work in the U.S.
