Job Description
A full-time (20-hour) research assistantship is
available beginning in January for a Masters
student. Highly motivated Masters students interested in
process modeling of water resource recovery
facilities (WRRFs) are encouraged to apply. The
student hired will work closely with Charlotte Water.
The research may form the basis of a Masters
project for the student hired.
The project will involve working with models for
wastewater treatment processes (BioWin) to
accomplish the following tasks:
* Calibrate existing BioWin models to simulate
solutions within tolerances
* Apply the workflow developed for one facility to
another facility
* Engage plant staff to identify scenarios for testing
The student will perform research duties such as
collecting and analyzing samples. Other
responsibilities include any additional lab duties
assigned as needed by Dr. Olya Keen.
