Summary

This position is located in the Office of Medical Product, Specialty, and Tobacco Labs and Programs (OMPSLO) which provides strategic leadership, coordination, infrastructure, and support for excellence and innovation in FDA science that will advance the Agency's ability to protect and promote public health.

Duties

• Provides occupational specific technical direction to subordinate scientists by using creative application of scientific principles.
• Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules; and establishes measurement and analysis systems to ensure actions are timely and reviewed at critical points.
• Plans and makes recommendations on the future needs in the scientific specialty area such as new analytical instruments, techniques, and methods.
