Position Start Date: Fall 2024 (September/November) or Winter 2025

Schedule: Full time

Employment Duration: Permanent

Expected Pay: 63,000 USD per year.

Audit Associate Responsibilities:

  • Identifies issues and applies accounting principles/auditing procedures.
  • Prepares clear, concise, and neat work-papers with definitive conclusions as well as meaningful and well-written recommendations for inclusion in client correspondence.
  • Develops positive working relationships with all clients as well as internal team members, interns, administrative staff and recruiting team members.
  • Always maintains confidentiality.
  • Displays exemplary work habits in clients’ offices and while in your Elliott Davis office.
  • Becomes an effective part of our client service teams.
  • Responds to clients in timely manner as promised, as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Complies with firm’s practice management procedures/systems.
  • Anticipates problems/issues and keeps in-charge/manager informed of engagement status.
  • Cross-sells opportunities among existing clients if opportunities arise.
  • Participates in recruitment of new and experienced associate staff.
  • Exhibits an ability to manage multiple deliverables at once.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Master’s Degree or 150 credits to meet CPA license requirements preferred.
  • GPA 3.25 or higher
  • Strong time and work management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; effective listening skills
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Displays executive presence, business acumen, and “street smarts.”
  • Substantial progress toward CPA certification preferred.
