Job Description

A Sales Specialist is responsible for driving revenue by promoting and selling products or services, which includes activities like lead generation, client relationship management (CRM), and closing deals. Key duties involve analyzing market trends, developing sales strategies, and collaborating with other departments to meet and exceed sales targets. 

Core responsibilities

  • Client management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients through communication and by providing excellent customer service.
  • Sales process management: Managing the entire sales funnel, from identifying new leads and qualifying prospects to negotiating and closing sales contracts. Accurately documenting CRM.
  • Market analysis: Conducting market research, analyzing sales data, and staying updated on industry trends to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Sales strategy and execution: Developing and implementing sales campaigns, setting sales targets, and adjusting techniques to improve performance.
  • Performance monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing sales team performance, and providing feedback or training to help the team achieve its goals.
  • Collaboration: Working with leadership, such as marketing and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer satisfaction and business growth. 

Key skills and qualifications

  • Communication and negotiation: Essential for presenting products, persuading clients, and closing deals meeting deadlines to support budget achievement.
  • Analytical skills: Needed to evaluate sales performance, analyze market data, and assess sales within assigned territory.
  • Relationship-building: The ability to establish and maintain long-term, trusting relationships to support retention and growth.
  • Time management and organization: Required to handle a variety of tasks and manage the sales pipeline effectively through outbound dialing, email management, and CRM documentation.
  • Product knowledge:A comprehensive understanding of the products or services being sold is crucial. The ability to pivot when needed to support adding new products and launching new products.
