Monarch NC, a provider of high-quality and trauma-informed care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders, is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment team in Charlotte, NC. 

 

As a Therapist, you will assist and support the people we serve in the development of skills, behaviors, responsibilities, and supports needed to live, learn, work and be integrated into the community with the greatest possible degree of self-determination and independence, as well as provide social work and therapy to them.  You will facilitate training of independent living skills, establish access to community services and agencies, assist people in establishing support networks in the community, and assess their individual needs on a daily basis.  You will also coordinate services with the program, staff, inpatient facilities, and detoxification facilities and establish linkage to residential programs, self-help programs and community resources.

 

To qualify, candidates must have the following: 

  • A Master's degree in a Human Services related field is required.
  • Candidates must have one of the following North Carolina licenses or certifications: LCMHCA, LCSWA, LMFTA, LCMHC, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • At least 1 year of post-graduate experience working with adults with mental health of substance use issues.
