Job Description
Perfect for operations and process-minded Niners, this role powers the work done by the university’s Creative Services team (video, photo, and design) by helping to optimize our back-end workflows. You will:
- Manage the categorization/tagging of video and photo assets for easier searchability
- Ingest digital content into Charlotte’s asset management workflows
- Assist with programming and technical operations within the department
- Provide support for live-streaming operations
- Support in-studio and in-field productions where helpful
- Embark on a semester-long research project related to a special interest of their choosing in the realm of media and technology
The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the importance of the work “behind the scenes” and a sense of curiosity to ask, suggest, and try new ideas. After this internship, the selected candidate will walk away with:
- Learnings from and relationships with team members across the various Creative Services units
- A better understanding of the inner workings of a large production operation
- Practical experience with multiple industry standard tools, including Adobe and IPV
- Hands-on experience with building and maintaining a digital asset library
- A research project that adds value to their portfolio
- A better sense of direction for their future career endeavors
