SOC SECURITY SPECIALIST

Position Description:

Motivated and detail-oriented security professional seeking a position in a Security Operations Center where I can apply my expertise in video surveillance, access control systems, and incident response. Committed to maintaining a high level of situational awareness, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and supporting organizational safety objectives through vigilant monitoring and accurate reporting.

Essential Job Tasks:

• Operates and manages Avigilon Video Management/Access Control systems.
• Operates and manage Symmetry Access Control systems.
• Uses Computer Aided Dispatch software to log and assign personnel to calls for service.
• Completes accurate and concise reports related to events that occur in the SOC.
• Monitors Video systems and Access Control systems to detect unauthorized entries into regulated areas.
• Follows strict policies and procedures and communicate those policies and procedures to individuals within other departments in a professional and effective manner.
• Conducts reviews of authorization records and access records to ensure accuracy.
• Remains vigilant and stationary as required during 12-hour or 8-hour shifts. 
• Initiates and oversee initial responses to Physical Security Perimeter breaches.
• Conducts security role access reviews for corporate and regulatory access control.

Position Requirements: 

• High School Diploma + 5 years experience, Associate’s degree + 2 years experience or Bachelor’s Degree + 1 year of experience working in a dispatch or security monitoring center.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Compensation Information:

$19.85 - $24.80 (min. - mid.)
