The Opportunity

The Manager - Treasury Quantitative Development is an outstanding and ambitious role crafted to propel your career to the next level. You will play a pivotal role in centralizing, modernizing, and automating our Treasury data pipeline. This position demands an outstanding individual who is eager to optimize operational efficiency and elevate data visibility and accessibility in real-time, intraday, and end-of-day scenarios.

The Work Itself

  • Build, implement, deploy, maintain, improve, store, and automate end-of-day and real-time processes, model outputs, and centralized data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Treasury leaders and partners to gather requirements and feedback for efficient, agile, tactical, and strategic projects that provide valuable benefits.
  • Collaborate with Treasury IT partners to prioritize development, testing, project management, and product ownership in accordance with Ally policies and standards.
  • Develop clear and coordinated Python code in line with PEP8 standards and internal guidelines within our strategic Collaborative Python Computing (CPC) platform framework.
  • Build Python code for internal and vendor wrappers, data APIs, models, web servers, end-of-day and real-time processes, and dependency scheduling.
  • Identify and eliminate manual processes and single points of failure across all of Treasury.
  • Self-sufficiently identify defects, gaps, and pitfalls, and rapidly overcome them with robust long-term tactical or strategic solutions requiring minimal assumptions.
  • Collaborate and consult with business and IT partners across multiple lines of business, Risk, Accounting, and Treasury.

The Skills You Bring

  • An Advanced Degree or equivalent experience in Computational Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and relevant work experience will also be considered.

  • 5+ years of Treasury, Capital Markets, Accounting, Balance Sheet, Finance, Risk, or relevant experience.

  • 3+ years process automation and graphical display development experience.

  • 3+ years of development experience using a main-stream programming language, Python preferred.

  • 3+ years of data modeling experience preferred.

  • 3+ years of data pipeline and IT architecture experience.

  • Strong understanding of SQL, data normalization, indexing, joins, primary and foreign keys.

  • Familiarity with React, Vue, Angular or any other web user interface framework.

  • Familiarity with a main-stream source control system.

  • Familiarity with distributed systems computing.

  • Familiarity with AWS components like ECS, CI/CD pipeline, and cloud capabilities.

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure As Code Tools like Terraform.

  • Self-starter, able to produce quickly and independently.

  • Strong communication (written, verbal, and interpersonal) skills.

  • Integrity, dependability, a positive forward-looking professional attitude.

Base Pay Range:

An individual's position in the range is determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Expert: 180000
