Job Description
The University Transfer Center provides advising support and advocacy to promote transfer student success. Through collaboration with campus and external partners, the goal of the Transfer Center is to provide the resources and knowledge essential to empowering transfer students and increasing their retention and graduation rates. The Transfer Center team is a resource to all transfer students, with a particular emphasis on prospective and newly enrolled students, as well as a resource to faculty and staff.
The Project
The student will create a simple, branded newsletter template and outline a short communication plan to engage first-semester transfer students. Tasks will include designing the newsletter layout, drafting sample content for one issue, and developing brief recommendations for future topics and delivery timing.
Learning Experience
The student will gain practical experience in communications and student engagement. They will enhance skills in content design, concise writing, and strategic communication planning.
