The Role:

Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a Control Systems Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. In addition to assisting the team with various regular work, the individual will also be completing a project during this time.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and implement control systems for various applications.

• Analyze and optimize existing control systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems.

• Create documentation for control system designs and processes.

What We Seek:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and control system schematics.

• Familiarity with PID control loops, servo controls, and variable frequency drives.

• Knowledge of safety relay circuitry and other safety-related aspects.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• PLC language skills

• Simulation & modeling experience on process control systems

• Knowledge of Python, C#

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, graduating in Spring 2025 or later

Eligibility:

  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January 2025-June 2025
  • Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
