Our co-op program is designed to provide you with real world experience and exposure in your area of study. These co-op opportunities are comprehensive, interactive and strategically integrated into the departmental function of Engineering. We are looking for co-ops with the right mix of talent and enthusiasm, with proven leadership skills, strong analytical and communication skills, and individuals with the ability to work cross functionally in a team setting!

The TTI Floor Care Engineering Co-Op provides a meaningful, 12-16 week paid spring, summer or fall opportunity for high-performing college students who are interested in an Engineering, Product Development or R&D career.  Engineering at TTI Floor Care North America is responsible for the end-to-end management of finished product creation, from ideation to commercialization. The co-op will focus on quality testing, mechanical or electrical component design & testing, Pro E software work, and the overall product development process.

Role Summary:

The Advanced Development (AD) Team functions much like a start-up company within TTI Floor Care. We are quickly testing and developing new technologies at the cutting edge of floor care!

Assist the AD Team with electrical engineering efforts, relating to electronic components, systems, circuits, software, and new technologies used in a variety of floor care and other consumer products. Activities will include but not be limited to.

Test Engineering

  • Perform various laboratory tests, analyze test results, and issue written reports with results, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Assist the test technician with preparation of test units and the analysis of test results.
  • Research competitive performance and features to benchmark test results.

Product Engineering

  • Apply engineering practices to provide design solutions based on test and theory.
  • Assist with engineering, design, development, and implementation of critical components within the product.

Project Participation

  • Participate in value analysis, cost analysis, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Participate in cross-function teams by working together; FMEA reviews and brainstorm design solutions.
