Job Description

The Mint Museum is Charlotte's  leading, innovative cultural institution and museum of international art and design.

Summary: Undergraduate and graduate-level library internship opportunities are available. Intern projects may include introductory or advanced cataloging, creation of marketing materials, social media, digitization efforts, and the creation of web pages for the library’s online resource, Mintwiki. Internships for academic credit may be tailored to specific academic project goals.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assists with introductory or advanced cataloging

• Assists with creation of marketing materials

• Assists with digitization efforts

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a COA+A major with preference to Anthropology, Art History, or History majors.

• Previous experience and knowledge of library work preferred.

• Experience with digital asset management.

• Strong organizational skills: prioritizes projects, multi-tasks, meets deadlines in a timely manner.

• Ability to interact professionally with staff, and museum guests.
