Job Description
Creative Cornerstone NC is a Charlotte-based nonprofit that empowers youth through hands-on training in film, photography, and media arts, helping them turn creativity into career opportunities.
The Internship
Creative Cornerstone NC is seeking a Marketing Assistant Intern to support the promotion, documentation, and storytelling of our Creative Arts Summer Camp. This role is ideal for a creative, self-driven individual interested in marketing, media, and youth development.
The intern will play a key role in capturing the camp experience and helping amplify the voices and stories of our young creatives.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in executing marketing campaigns to promote the summer camp
Capture photo and video content during camp sessions
Create and schedule content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
Write engaging captions, blogs, and email updates
Support daily storytelling by highlighting camper experiences and projects
Assist with branding consistency across digital platforms
Help promote the end-of-camp showcase event
Track engagement metrics and provide basic performance insights
Learning Experience
Hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing and communications
Content creation using real-world media production tools
Exposure to youth arts education programming
Mentorship from creative professionals in media and marketing
Portfolio-building opportunities through published content and campaign work
Real-world marketing experience in a mission-driven organization
Professional portfolio content (photos, videos, campaigns)

Outcomes
Content & Campaign Delivery
Produce a consistent stream of high-quality photo and video content documenting the Creative Arts Summer Camp
Publish and/or schedule regular social media posts aligned with campaign goals
Contribute to at least one focused marketing campaign (camp promotion, showcase event, or recap)
Brand & Storytelling Impact
Effectively communicate the mission of Creative Cornerstone NC through authentic storytelling
Capture and highlight camper experiences, achievements, and creative work
Maintain brand consistency across all content and platforms
Audience Engagement Growth
Support measurable growth in social media engagement (likes, shares, comments, reach)
Help increase awareness of the Creative Arts Summer Camp and end-of-camp showcase
Assist in strengthening the organization’s digital presence and community visibility
