Job Description
We are seeking a detail oriented and highly motivated Accounts Payable Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to accuracy, organization, and professional communication, with a passion for supporting efficient financial operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, assisting with payables and receivables, and supporting daily office functions to ensure smooth and reliable workflow across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform any combination of calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.
- Check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions.
- Monitor and record corporate credit card transactions.
- Review, verify, and approve employee-submitted expenses to ensure compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
- Enter vendor invoices into accounting system, matching purchase orders to receiving information and obtaining payment approvals as necessary.
- Reconcile complex vendor statements and follow-up on variances.
- Assist with complex payable and receivable posting issues and reconciliations.
- Code invoices related to rolling stock and non-inventory items.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain invoices, statements or to clear discrepancies.
- Share in office related duties including answering incoming calls, routing mail, copying files, etc.
- Conduct searches to find needed information, using a variety of sources.
- Operate office equipment, such as scanners, copiers, printers, and phone systems.
- Perform other office duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Highschool diploma or GED.
- Proficient with Microsoft software programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to edit and manipulate Adobe Acrobat files.
- Ability to read and write general business correspondence.
- Ability to analyze and interpret reports, technical procedures, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers or public.
- Ability to search files and databases and compile information gathered into reports.
- Ability to analyze financial information, and calculate figures and amounts.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form and solve problems involving several variables.
