LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST (OUTPATIENT) – Join a Supportive, Growing Group Practice

Employment Type/Status: Full-time/1099 Position

WHAT YOU’LL DO: Build and manage a caseload of 25-30 clients per week, timely submit clinical documentation, and maintain client engagement throughout the treatment plan. Complete administrative, outreach, and project-based tasks as needed.

  • Provide Life-Changing Therapy: Conduct individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions using proven treatment methods, including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches. You'll work with diverse clients addressing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and substance use concerns.
  • Lead Clinical Excellence: Perform comprehensive assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and maintain detailed clinical documentation. Your clinical judgment and therapeutic skills will guide clients toward meaningful recovery and growth.
  • Collaborate & Grow Professionally: Work alongside psychiatrists, case managers, and fellow clinicians in a supportive team environment. Participate in clinical supervision, case consultations, and continuing education opportunities that advance your career.
  • Engage Your Community: Lead workshops, participate in outreach programs, and represent our organization at professional events. Help reduce mental health stigma while building valuable community connections.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Required:
    • Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
    • Current license in North Carolina: LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent (provisional licensure with supervision considered)
    • 1-2 years of outpatient mental health experience preferred
    • Strong crisis intervention and communication skills
    • Proficiency with EHR systems and telehealth platforms
    • Active Liability Insurance & Coverage that must remain active for the duration of your employment.
  • Preferred:
    • Bilingual capabilities (especially Spanish)
    • Specialized training in trauma therapy, LGBTQ+ affirmative care, or substance abuse treatment
    • Experience with specific populations (teens, couples, older adults)
