Fight the Flame® is a fabulous opportunity for a student studying public relations, marketing, communications, or healthcare
Fight the Flame® is a national nonprofit organization that helps to raise awareness and funding, and supports those with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) The disease is chronic and debilitating, with no cure, and is characterized by severe, burning, and stabbing pain 24/7, along with swelling, changes in skin temperature and appearance, limited range of motion, and numerous other symptoms.
We seek an intern for the spring of 2025 to collaborate with our team and help us achieve our mission.
The intern will have diverse responsibilities, including:
- Provide strategic input and feedback on marketing initiatives
- Update and maintain Fight the Flame’s social media presence, including daily monitoring, creating engaging content, posting, scheduling, and reporting Facebook updates.
- Assist in designing event/program fliers, quarterly newsletters, graphics, and other marketing material
- Discover ways to strengthen public knowledge about the Fight the Flame 5k and CRPS.
- Aid in educating the Medical community about CRPS and treatment options.
- Building relationships with clients and potential clients, suppliers, and the media.
- Assist Fight the Flame 5k coordinator Interested applicants must possess:
- exceptional organizational skills,
- be detail-oriented
- creative,
- self-motivated, and
- able to manage time effectively.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
- outstanding writing and communication skills,
- Must be Internet savvy and have a firm grasp of social media tools and platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.
