Job Description

Dishwashers at the Whitewater Center are responsible for washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment in a high-volume restaurant environment. Dishwashers must also keep the dish area and equipment sanitary and organized. This is a part-time, hourly position that reports directly to the Executive Chef.

 Responsibilities

  • Safely clean, organize, and maintain dishes and dish station equipment
  • Load, run, and unload the dish machine
  • Immediately report any functional or mechanical problems to Executive Chef
  • Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times
  • Fill in as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient operation within the kitchen

Requirements

  • No prior restaurant experience is needed
  • Excellent communication skills are a must 
  • Comfortable working in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for entire shifts
  • Maintain availability to work holidays, evenings, and holidays as required
     

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space
  • Must be able to stand for sustained periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and move at least 50+ pounds 
  • Must be able to work in an outdoor environment where climate constantly changes
  • Must be able to independently arrive to and from shifts at Whitewater

The Food and Beverage Department delivers exceptional, chef-driven culinary service to Whitewater guests. Whitewater is home to diverse and ever-evolving food and beverage outlets, including full-service and fast-casual dining options. In addition, the Food and Beverage Department oversees catering for private events and Adventure Dining.
