Monarch NC is looking for a Senior Therapist to join our Outpatient team in Lumberton, NC. Monarch is a statewide provider of trauma‑informed, person‑centered services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and substance use disorders. What You’ll Do
As a Senior Therapist, you will play a key leadership role while maintaining a small clinical caseload:
- Provide clinical leadership, oversight, and administrative supervision for outpatient therapists, including associate‑level licensed clinicians
- Ensure delivery of high‑quality, timely, and effective psychotherapy services, including individual and group therapy
- Partner with the Director of Operations for Outpatient Services to support clinic performance and workflow
- Monitor clinician productivity, documentation, compliance, and service quality in alignment with agency standards
- Maintain a limited caseload providing individual, group, and family therapy using evidence‑based, person‑centered approaches
- Support therapists with crisis intervention, safety planning, and care coordination, including transitions to higher levels of care when needed
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor, fostering professional development and best practices across the team
This is a hybrid role, combining on‑site work at designated outpatient clinics with remote responsibilities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- A Master’s degree in a Human Services–related field
- Full licensure in North Carolina as an LCSW or LCMHC
- 2+ years of counseling/therapy experience
- 2+ years of experience working with children and adults in behavioral health settings
- 1+ year of clinical supervision experience
- 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience
- Working knowledge of DSM‑5/ICD‑10, psychotherapy modalities, addictions, family systems, group therapy, and assessment techniques
