Monarch NC is seeking an experienced and driven Residential Director to lead our Residential Services team in New Bern, NC. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape programs, mentor leaders, and ensure exceptional service delivery for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health needs, and substance use challenges.

 

What You’ll Do

 

As a Residential Director, you will play a critical leadership role in guiding the success and sustainability of our residential programs. You will:

  • Lead and inspire a team dedicated to supporting individuals in achieving what matters most to them
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality services across residential programs
  • Drive performance by setting measurable goals, monitoring outcomes, and implementing improvements
  • Manage program financials, ensuring responsible budgeting and long-term sustainability
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as internal quality standards
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain excellence, address concerns, and implement best practices
  • Develop and deliver training to ensure staff are equipped, confident, and meeting regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen programs and expand impact across the community

 

What You Bring

 

To be successful in this role, candidates must be recognized as a Qualified Professional (10A NCAC 27G .0104) and meet one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree (non-human services) + 4 years of experience with the population served
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services + 2 years of experience
  • Master’s degree in Human Services + 1 year of experience

 

Additional qualifications include:

  • 3+ years leading residential operations, including budgeting and regulatory compliance
  • 5+ years working directly with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
  • 3+ years in a residential or group home setting supporting behavioral health or long-term care needs
  • Experience supporting children or adults with mental health diagnoses and/or I/DD
  • 5+ years of management experience (preferred)
