The purpose of the position is to coordinate the scheduling efforts and maintenance at Venture Outdoor Leader’s Low and High Team Challenge Courses as well as the inventory within the Venture office suite. The intern will also provide oversight and support for the planning process for programs, ensuring a smooth experience and educative environment for clients, participants, and staff. 

The intern may facilitate team building programs as needed and as their schedule allows. Facilitation will align with the interns knowledge, skills, and abilities. 

Venture Outdoor Leadership UPIPs are also a part of the leadership team and expected to assist with signature events, such as fall and spring trainings, Open House, and semester tablings.

Applicants should be comfortable with coordinating volunteer efforts and communicating over phone and email with businesses to coordinate course upkeep.  The intern should also be comfortable giving critical feedback to peers; have strong, professional interpersonal communication skills; strong organization skills; and proven attention to detail. 

Preferred qualifications include: comfort working outside for extended periods of time, ability to use basic landscaping tools and train others to do so safely, self-motivation and showing initiative to complete projects, attention to detail, good organizational skills.
