Internship Dates: 05/20/2024 - 07/26/2024

The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte is seeking a bilingual intern who can assist licensed social workers and employment specialists with translation efforts through The Salvation Army’s homeless services programs.


Qualifications
- This position requires candidates who are currently pursuing a B.A. in Spanish or a MSW degree and are bilingual in Spanish

- Candidates are required to live within a commutable distance of Charlotte, North Carolina

- Candidates should be bilingual in English and Spanish or pursuing a Spanish degree

- The ability to work 30 hours per week as requested by Salvation Army staff


Responsibilities
Intern will work assisting Salvation Army associates and families experiencing homelessness with completing required documentation and relaying/interpreting resource information.


Selected intern will aid social services team members by filing documents, printing copies, assisting with phone calls, and other administrative tasks as requested.

Selected intern will also be required to clear a background check, complete a necessary volunteer application, and review a child and vulnerable adult protection training.
