Job Description

About Career Center
The Career Center supports all undergraduate and graduate students in their career development. I manage the faculty and staff engagement program.

The Project
The Gig Videographer and Editor for Faculty & Staff Engagement supports the Career Center by creating high-quality video content that highlights faculty and staff involvement in career development initiatives. This role captures interviews, events, classroom collaborations, and program highlights, then edits and produces polished videos for use in marketing, training, and storytelling across campus platforms. By translating engagement activities into compelling visual media, the videographer helps elevate program visibility, strengthen faculty partnerships, and showcase the impact of career readiness efforts to a wider campus audience.

Learning Experience
An undergraduate student in this role would gain hands-on, resume-ready experience in videography, editing, digital storytelling, and professional communication, all within a real organizational setting. They would build a strong portfolio of work featuring interviews, event coverage, and promotional videos that demonstrate their technical and creative abilities—key assets for careers in media, communications, marketing, design, or content production. By collaborating with Career Center leadership, the student also develops professional networking skills and insight into how large organizations communicate their mission and impact. This role strengthens their project management, time management, and client-service skills while giving them real-world exposure to producing content with purpose, making them more competitive for internships and full-time positions after graduation.
