Opportunity

Abt Global seeks bright, talented, and intellectually curious students to participate in our summer Abternship. As a paid Operational Compliance intern in the Finance/Operational Compliance Department, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience while being immersed into Abt's organizational culture. Interns will learn from some of the top experts in their respective fields while experiencing events/programs that are useful in any professional setting. Our programs will consist of a robust and structured curriculum that encompasses professional development opportunities, networking events, and a mentorship program. Interns can be remote, hybrid, or in person and can be located anywhere in the United States.

The Summer Internship Program at Abt Global is 10 weeks, beginning June 2, through August 8. Interns must be able to work full time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the program.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support deregistration project of 20 entities globally using PMI methodology for project management approach

  • This role will learn to leverage Microsoft Project in support of deregistration project

  • This role will be critical in organizing legal entity materials in the change management processes required of our deregistration project

  • This role will leverage existing capabilities of Power BI covering all legal entities

  • This role will also support ongoing change management activities required of Treasury department such as facilitating bank signatory changes for accounts or account setup

  • This role will include interaction with multiple department and division stakeholders to implement change management activities for entity management

  • This role will help the entity management team revise its document processes and improve its core competencies

Department / Division Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidate is currently enrolled in an undergraduate level degree program

  • Ideal candidates will have academic or work experience in legal and international business.

  • Excellent research and writing skills

  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills

  • Electronic file storage and organization skills

  • Comfort with frequent international electronic and telephonic communication

  • Foreign language skills are a plus as are a background or interest in foreign culture and international development sector

  • Comfort dealing with disparate corporate communications requiring consolidation

  • Desire to build skills via use of visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is desired

  • Willingness to maintain a dedicated/strong work ethic to conclude project activities

Program Minimum Qualifications

  • Has completed at least two years of college coursework

  • Is available to work full-time throughout the 10-week internship

  • Is eligible to work in the United States

  • Transitioning military are also encouraged to apply

This position offers an anticipated hourly rate of:

Undergraduate student: $18.00 per hour
