Join Our Awesome Team as an IT Technician (On-Site) – Speedway Auto Auction | Concord, NC
Speedway Auto Auction is a fast-paced, technology-driven automotive auction where IT reliability is critical to daily operations and live auction performance. We are seeking a hands-on, service-oriented IT professional to serve as the primary on-site IT resource, ensuring systems, networks, applications, and auction presentation technology run flawlessly.
Your Day-to-Day Adventures
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Serve as the primary local escalation point for IT issues at the auction
- Document incidents, resolutions, and procedures clearly and accurately
- Provide basic administration and troubleshooting for Windows Server (2016–current), by supporting Windows desktops, laptops, and Office 365 user access.
- Configure, support, and troubleshoot A/V systems (sound systems, TVs, displays, cameras, and related equipment) used during live auctions
- Administer basic network devices, including switches and print servers
- Troubleshoot Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking issues
- Identify recurring issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency
- Assist with small projects, upgrades, hardware refreshes, and improvements
What We're Looking For (The Must-Haves)
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent hands-on experience in lieu of formal education
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a Help Desk or Field Technician role providing PC support. Preferred experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP), Help Desk, or Auction environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server (2016 – current), and iOS/Android mobile devices.
- Certifications in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, and Windows Desktop, preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of desktop & laptop hardware; printers, scanners & peripheral devices; layer 1 & 2 switching; Office 365 support; and active directory concepts
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Successfully able to complete and pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must have a valid driver’s license & ability to meet auto insurance guidelines

The Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, normal business hours (flexibility to adjust hours based on operational needs)
- Location: 224 Highway 49 South, Concord, NC 28025
- Environment: Professional office setting within our busy auction facility
- Style: Full-time, permanent
