Monarch NC is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse to support our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams across several North Carolina communities. This position includes travel between Charlotte, Gastonia, Greensboro, Lexington, and Winston‑Salem, and candidates may reside in any of these areas.
What You’ll Do
As the Lead RN, you’ll play a key role in strengthening the quality and consistency of ACT services statewide. In this leadership and clinical support role, you will:
- Provide guidance and support to ACT Team nursing staff.
- Collaborate with ACT teams to enhance service delivery and promote best practices.
- Complete comprehensive intake assessments, including:
- Medical history and physical condition
- Psychiatric and substance use history
- Educational, vocational, and legal background
- Family systems and social supports
- Monitor the quality of medical services through chart audits, direct staff observation, and compliance checks with agency policies, Medicaid standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support policy and procedure development and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and overall service quality.
- Contribute to staff training, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
To be considered, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with adults with mental illness
- Working knowledge of psychiatric medications
- Experience in ACT services – preferred
- Supervisory or management experience – preferred
