The team includes accomplished experts in the areas of safety standards, safety management, and large-scale safety data analyses. This growing team collaborates across all areas of Torc, including fleet operations, autonomy developers, simulation engineers, and systems engineering to both foster a positive safety culture and identify pragmatic solutions to controlling risk. As part of this team, you will be using programming and engineering knowledge to analyze data originating in pre-production automated driving systems.

What You'll Do:

You will be translating large scale flowing data into analyses related to vehicle performance. Being a software and automated vehicle company, this role involves working with large-scale, heterogenous data that are generated by sensors and software testing and during on-road operations. You will integrate the domains of engineering/physics, statistics, and computer science, to monitor vehicle or subsystem performance in specific areas. More specifically, you will:

  • Programmatically analyze large-scale data sets originating from state-of-the art software, hardware and sensing technologies
  • Leverage engineering and physics formulae to analyze streaming data from raw form to robust findings
  • Actively identify and integrate relevant data from disparate internal and third-party data providers
  • Construct data processing workflows that provide continuous up-time monitoring of raw data that range from a variety of sensors (IMU, lidar, radar, vision, controllers and controls) to test operations annotations, to compute systems performance.
  • Produce interactive results that enable users to understand your workflows and answer a variety of their secondary questions related to your analyses.
  • Participate in cross functional discussions and presentations with engineers and other internal stakeholders

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Strong success in early undergraduate engineering course content including dynamics, physics, engineering methods, programming, etc
