Job Description
- Display and apply thorough expertise and understanding of concepts, practices, and theories used in the field of project management.
- Lead facility planning and project management for assigned campus projects.
- Oversee design and construction of a variety of University projects to include planning, design (all phases), bidding and contracting, budgets, schedules, etc., from advanced planning through project closeout.
- Manage implementation of projects and plans according to codes and regulations.
- Provide consultation and technical assistance as required for projects.
- Review codes to ensure compliance related to ADA, state construction statutes, the NC State Building Code, fire, and other oversight codes.
- Responsible for development and posting of all RFP’s and RFQ’s for assigned projects.
- Display and apply thoroughly developed knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, problem solving, budget analysis, and coordination of people and resources.
- Meet with campus stakeholders to develop creative, interactive, budget-appropriate proposals. Conduct project meetings, as required.
- Guide, direct, and coordinate design consultants as assigned.
- Process all project transactions such as contractor and designer pay applications, construction contract change orders, and designer contract amendments.
- Perform other duties as assigned and/or delegated to support all PDC operations.
