Description:  The College of Computing and Informatics at UNC Charlotte seeks to hire, train, and maintain a peer advisor, which we will call Peer Academic Consultants.  Peer Academic Consultants in the College of Computing and Informatics will advise and communicate with a pool of students from the college. 

Activities: Peer Academic Consultants (PACs) in the College of Computing and Informatics will have the primary duties of providing general information to students as they prepare for pre-registration advising and follow up with students once class registration begins.  PACs will hold consistent office hours throughout each semester and will be available for walk-in assistance. 

Additional activities include:

-Reaching out to students who are qualified for Early Entry program

-Assist in admissions programs such as EXPLORE, Admitted Students Day, campus visits, SOAR

-Promote general CCI Events and activities

-Assist advisor(s) in making presentations

-Review social media and website information for possible updates

-Answer general advising e-mail inquiries when appropriate

Desired Qualifications:

-2.75 cumulative GPA with a minimum of 30 earned credits at UNC Charlotte

-Two positive references (Google Form) from previous employer, advisor, instructor, or other staff member in which the applicant has interacted

-Student must have completed ITSC/ITCS 1600/2600 at UNC Charlotte
