Visualization and Constructability Manager

The Construction Visualization & Constructability Manager is responsible for transforming 2D construction documents into 3D constructible models that support estimating, project planning, superintendent reviews, and field execution. This role bridges estimating, project management, and field operations by developing visual models of complex concrete structures, identifying construction challenges before bid submission, and improving understanding of sequencing, access, and constructability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models from PDF and CAD drawings for wastewater treatment structures, lift stations, wet wells, pump stations, process basins, underground vaults, and complex reinforced concrete structures.

• Generate visualizations, sections, and cutaway views for estimating and operations reviews.

• Generate quantity reports from the models

• Participate in estimate reviews and identify constructability concerns prior to bid submission.

• Lead model review meetings with estimators, project managers, superintendents, and operations leadership.

• Support project handoff from estimating to operations.

• Establish company modeling standards and evaluate virtual construction technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in concrete construction, heavy civil, or water/wastewater facilities.

• Strong ability to read structural and civil plans.

• Experience with SketchUp, Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, AGTEK, Civil 3D, or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of concrete construction, excavation, formwork, reinforcing steel, and construction sequencing.

• Strong communication skills with office and field personnel.

• This position requires candidates to live within a 50-mile radius of our Mooresville, North Carolina office.

Education and Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).

• Five or more years of construction project management experience is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant construction experience will also be considered.

• Virtual construction and execution experience required.
