Project Assignment & Main Goals
As a Project Management Intern, you will be immersed in real-world project management experiences with three primary objectives:
- Key Activities
- Shadow experienced project managers to learn industry best practices and methodologies
- Lead a low-risk project under the guidance and supervision of a seasoned project manager
- Contribute to process improvement by providing insights on new technologies, methodologies, and project management approaches
- Essential Functions
- Support the Project Management department with day-to-day accountabilities and tasks
- Dive into challenging projects that expand understanding of banking operations and project lifecycle management
- Learn the First Bank brand, our customer experience philosophy, and our commitment to Service Excellence
- Model exceptional customer service and help others do the same
- Gain exposure to department-specific operations and compliance standards
- Use technology tools to process data and communicate effectively
- Complete required training and uphold all policies, procedures, and regulations
- Show up with integrity, curiosity, and a commitment to service
- Complete required compliance courses and adhere to all corporate policies, Federal and State regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act
- Other duties as required
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree
- Coursework in Project Management or Change Management required
- Demonstrated academic or project experience in project management principles
- Technical Skills
- Technology Development Aptitude: Comfortable learning and adapting to new technologies
- Communication Platforms: Experience with email, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams preferred
- Tech-savvy with a sharp eye for detail

- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Project Management: Understanding of project management fundamentals and methodologies
