FWS: Rowe Gallery Monitor

Gallery Monitors must be dependable, punctual, respectful with a professional demeanor. Monitors will greet and interact with the public in a professional manner, along with recording visitor attendance, answering questions about the current exhibitions and campus that visitors might have and providing security for the art on display, this consist of politely telling people not to touch the work. Monitor’s will
need to be knowledgeable about exhibits, including show run dates, special events (i.e. reception and lecture dates and times) and exhibition sponsors, Monitor’s will be given this information on each show.
Gallery Monitors will learn about and be asked to participate in the installation and de-installation of exhibitions, as well as helping maintain the appearance of the gallery by inspecting the art (making sure there is no damage, sweeping, dusting and emptying the trash bin when needed.
