Basic Job Functions:

Nucor is seeking a Social Media co-op for Spring 2027. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented individual passionate about storytelling and digital communication. In the role, you will:

  • Develop social media content (posts, graphics, short videos) for enterprise and/or division accounts on platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Collaborate with teams and divisions to gather stories, photos, and updates that highlight Nucor's culture, safety, sustainability, and community impact.
  • Ensure all design work aligns with Nucor's brand guidelines and social media best practices.
  • Track performance metrics and provide insights for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be working towards Bachelor degree Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a closely related design discipline.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Expected graduation date no later than May 2029.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn and associated best practices; experience with Canva or Adobe Suite preferred.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Previous experience contributing to a branded social media account.
