Job Description
Responsible for designing, analyzing, and evaluating structural elements and systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, as well as other infrastructure projects. Ensure that structural designs comply with relevant codes and standards, and are safe, durable, and cost-effective. Essential Functions • Develop structural designs, calculations, and drawings for construction projects. • Perform structural analysis to assess the integrity and performance of structures. • Ensure designs and plans adhere to building codes, standards, and regulations, and obtain necessary permits and approvals. • Work closely with a team of multi-disciplined (civil, process, structural, mechanical, electrical, and I&C) to integrate structural elements into overall project plans. • Select construction materials and systems to meet project specifications while optimizing cost and performance. • Conduct observations and quality control assessments during construction. • Identify and assess potential structural risks and provide repair/retrofit recommendations. • Identify and resolve design and construction challenges. • Prepare technical reports, including feasibility studies, structural analyses, and project progress reports. • Provide innovative solutions to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders. Present technical information in a clear and understandable manner and addresses concerns and questions.
