Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented – Bookkeeper to lead and manage all accounting and finance activities to confirm the financial health of the organization. This role works closely with both co-founders of the organization directly reporting to the CFO. The Financial Accountant will work with internal clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other services rendered. This role demands strong leadership, exceptional communication, and problem-solving skills to drive company success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording and organizing invoices, bills, and statements in QuickBooks & Builder Trend
  • Managing company Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Managing company payroll
  • Reconcile accounts between bank accounts and QuickBooks. Reconcile QuickBooks and Builder Trend
  • Reviewing accounts, classifications, and ledgers for accuracy and correcting errors
  • Prepare and present basic financial documents weekly such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, and other financial documents
  • Forecasting cash flow and overall company strategy based on data
  • Measure company performance based on financial records
  • Identify improvement areas and present process improvement and continuous improvement plans to company management
  • Manage insurance audits that are based off the profit and loss for a specific period

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, controlling, and/or finance
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost control
  • Proficiency in construction software (BuilderTrend)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
