Job Description

Ancient North America

Growth & Marketing Intern

Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)  |  Summer 2025  |  Part-Time  |  $12–$15/hr

About Ancient

Ancient North America is an AI-enabled staff augmentation and software delivery company. We embed world-class Latin American engineers directly into client teams, bridging the gap between elite technical talent and the companies building what’s next. We move fast, we work smart, and we believe great people — wherever they are in the world — deserve to do great work.

This is not a fetch-coffee internship. We’re a lean team and every person on it pulls real weight.

The Role

We’re looking for a sharp, creative, and self-directed intern to support our sales and marketing engine. You’ll work alongside our Chief of Staff and SDR team on outbound prospecting, brand presence, and content creation — the full range of how we show up in the market.

The right person is a strong communicator and creative thinker with a background in business, marketing, or communications. You don’t need to be an engineer or come from a tech company — but a willingness to learn what we do and speak credibly about it matters. Curiosity goes a long way here.

What You’ll Do

  • Support outbound sales development: research prospects, draft outreach sequences, and manage follow-up cadences in coordination with the SDR team
  • Manage and grow Ancient’s presence on LinkedIn and other relevant platforms — scheduling posts, engaging with comments, and tracking performance
  • Create on-brand graphics, short-form video content, and visual assets using Canva and other tools
  • Draft copy for email campaigns, LinkedIn posts, and marketing collateral that reflects Ancient’s voice — professional, warm, and direct
  • Research target accounts and compile prospect lists to support business development efforts
  • Assist with CRM data hygiene and lead tracking (Zoho or equivalent)
  • Support internal communications and light project coordination as needed
  • Assist with preparation of client-facing materials, decks, and proposals
  • Help organize and document processes as the team grows — SOPs, templates, playbooks
  • Take on ad hoc projects as business needs evolve; we’re a startup and priorities shift

What Sets the Right Candidate Apart

We want someone who is genuinely proactive — someone who notices a gap and fills it before being asked. You should feel comfortable bringing recommendations directly to leadership: if you see a better way to run an outreach sequence, a content angle we’re missing, or a process that could be tightened up, we want to hear it. Deference is fine; silence is not.

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program in business, marketing, communications, or a related field — we care more about your instincts and drive than your exact major
  • Strong written communication skills — you can write like a human, not a press release
  • Proficient in Canva; comfortable creating graphics, slide decks, and short videos
  • Comfortable with or genuinely curious about sales outreach and business development
  • Highly organized and self-managed; you don’t need someone to tell you what to do twice
  • Confident enough to make recommendations to leadership and proactive enough to act on your own good instincts
  • Familiarity with social media platforms from a content and analytics standpoint, not just a scrolling one
  • Based in or near Charlotte, NC and available for in-person work on a hybrid schedule

We know not every great candidate checks every box — if you’re excited about this role and think you’d bring something valuable to the team, we’d love to hear from you anyway.

Bonus Points

Spanish fluency is a meaningful plus — our engineering team is based in Mexico and Latin America, and we’d love someone who can help us bridge the communication and culture gap with warmth and authenticity. A background in international business or coursework in technology, computer science, or information systems is also a plus, though neither is required.

Position Details

  • Compensation: $12–$15/hr depending on experience
  • Hours: 20–25 per week during the summer; schedule flexibility available
  • Start date: May through early June 2025, depending on availability
  • Duration: Summer with strong possibility of continuing through the fall semester if schedules align
  • Location: Charlotte, NC — hybrid (some remote, some in-person)

How to Apply

Send a brief cover letter about yourself and why this role interests you, along with any portfolio, LinkedIn profile, or writing samples you’d like to share.
