Position Description

  • Supports the Beneficial Use and Pond Closure Department and Manager by reviewing and development of analyses, processing of financial and other reports, data entry and maintenance of computer models, preparation and rendering of bills / invoices, ensuring accuracy of invoices and payments, and review of contracts. Assignments are usually performed with direction from staff or manager giving direction. The effective use of a computer and knowledge of spreadsheets and documentation will aid this position in being efficient and effective with the duties.

    Essential Job Tasks:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing monitoring of department budget and expense data (O&M and Capital Budgets) and prepares monthly budget status reports.
  • Coordinates, researches, assists, and responds to any inquiries related to budget, financial status and cost estimates of active projects and capital expenditures and the proper charging of these projects / expenses. Assist with variance explanation and year end projection reports for management.
  • Helps coordinate hauling logistics with haulers of ash and gypsum. Ensures haulers have the proper documentation for entry to generating sites and other customer locations.
  • Develops, maintains, and improves various spreadsheets related to billing, payments, supporting accounting documentation, and any other records with a high degree of accuracy and precision. Uses data to update reports, to identify trends, and for budget purposes. Assist with analyses using a full range of financial, economic, and accounting concepts and principles.
  • Calculates and verifies tonnage and other units of measurement to appropriately match invoice information to purchase orders. Tracks, handles billing and/or verifies invoicing and ensures payments are timely and accurate for beneficial use program and other contract obligations.
  • Assist with contract administration and coordination for Gypsum and Ash contracts which includes daily and/or weekly communications with vendors and truck deliveries for these commodity hauls between CGS,  WGS, and JGS to meet monthly delivery goals and obligations.
  • Sampling and processing of beneficial use products.
  • Assist other departments within the Commercial Operations group as needed.

Financial Analyst I

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance or other related field required.

    Compensation Information:
    $52,340 - $65,420

    Financial Analyst II
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance or other related field +2 years experience required.

    Compensation Information:
    $65,080 - $81,350

    Financial Analyst III
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance or other related field +5 years experience required.

    Compensation Information:
    $80,890 - $101,110
