Job Description
- Direct Student Access & Case Management: Conduct interactive intake meetings to determine disability status and plan/coordinate reasonable accommodations; deliver 1:1 ongoing support, connection, and advocacy for assigned caseload and walk-ins as necessary.
- Documentation & Records: Review documentation from multiple sources under ADA, ADAAA, and Section 504 guidelines; maintain up-to-date electronic records and accurate case notes in the departmental database system.
- Faculty & Campus Consultation: Partner with faculty and staff to facilitate accommodations, address implementation barriers, and ensure educational access.
- Campus Liaison, Committee Work, & Advocacy: Engage with campus partners to provide disability perspectives, elevate access initiatives, and promote universal design.
- Program Development & Continuous Improvement: Lead or assist in creating OAA initiatives, evaluating technology/practices, and recommending process enhancements.
- Professional Development & Research: Stay current on legal precedents, ADA compliance, assistive technologies, and emerging best practices in higher education disability services.
- Support core office operations (including final exam proctoring and administration).
- Represent OAA at Orientation, Open House, and Commencement events,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
