Job Title: Construction Intern

Job Summary

12-week summer internship to develop young candidates for entry level positions and future careers in the construction industry, by providing real world field and office construction management experience to college students.  Interns will assist field and office staff with daily duties throughout the summer, in order to develop candidates for future positions within our organization.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in higher education or professional training program
• Construction Management or Engineering concentration preferred but not required
• Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
• Effective written and verbal communication skills (multilingual a plus)
• Basic computer and mobile device skills required

Duties

• Review and submit RFIs using Autodesk Build
• Review and process Submittals using Autodesk Build
• Generate weekly Submittal status reports and distribute to trade partners
• Prepare and distribute plan revisions and bulletins to subcontractors
• Attend weekly meetings and take meeting minutes
• Become familiar with, and perform daily safety inspections
• Assist Construction Manager with completion of Daily Reports
• Become familiar with and assist Construction Manager with completion of field checklists
• Assist Construction Manager with generation and distribution of Punch lists
• Assist PM and APM with processing of contracts and change orders
• Assist Estimator with take-off and acquisition of bids from trade partners

Program Dates and Duration: 12-week program starting May 13, 2023
