Job Description

The Creative Design Specialists on the Brand Ambassador team are responsible for the conception and execution of illustrations, apparel designs,  promotional materials, photography, and videography for the promotion of all licensing program gear or campaigns on campus. Other duties may include managing print and digital outreach materials, managing social media accounts, and managing event promotion. Members should be dedicated to learning all facets of the licensing program as it relates to assigned duties. This group will report to the Assistant Licensing Manager who serves as the creative director for the team of brand ambassadors. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Possess knowledge of/demonstrate an interest in learning about Charlotte licensing rules and program goals
• Assist in the creation of all graphic assets for the department, including but not limited to: apparel, social media content, web content, posters, banners, flyers, handbills, postcards, & digital signage
• Develop marketing campaigns from conception to execution, including promotional items, partnerships, goals, and timelines.
• Film, compile, and edit promotional videos for licensing programs and events.
• Capture and edit photo content for licensing programs and events.
• Research trends in the industry and present campaign ideas to the Assistant Licensing Manager for implementation
• Edit departmental website when needed.
• Review designs for errors and to ensure brand standards are upheld
• Promote and participate in promotional events
• Assist in seeking out campaign stories or relevant/ fresh content for video team
• Assist in writing editorial items for UNC Charlotte publications when needed
• Assist in planning and facilitating promotional tables and events around campus to engage students with our brand when needed
• Assist in facilitating presentations to the University community upon request (academic courses, Residence Halls, Greek Life Organizations, and NSO sessions, etc.)
• Critical understanding of the importance of feedback and development as it relates to design and working with a creative team.

Education Requirements: 

• Must be current UNC Charlotte student 

Technical Requirements: 

• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Adobe InDesign or similar creative platforms
• Experience with photography or videography and a willingness to grow these skills.
