We seek to employ an entry level mechanical engineer whose duties include designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial office buildings.

Eventually, the engineer will be responsible for design of the system from initial conception through review of the system that is constructed by a qualified contractor.  The necessary skills and knowledge will be learned on the job while being mentored by a more senior engineer.

Activities include meeting with building occupants, architects, engineers of other trades and contractors. Some of the work is expected to occur in the office and some of the work will occur in the field.

There will be opportunities for travel to verify site conditions of projects either to begin our designs or verify our designs were maintained during construction

The employee will be supervised by a PE, which will allow the employee to pursue a license as a PE. Our firm supports this and encourages the PE licensure. The employee will gain knowledge of codes that regulate the building's design.
