Job Description

Position Overview: The Financial Planning & Analysis Intern is a progressive financial analytical role, not bound to traditional accounting and FP&A functions limited to only financial consolidation and analysis. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Intern must be agile enough to develop and achieve the analytical requirements of key stakeholders. This person must be able to work collaboratively across the organization with a skillset to distill large datasets into management level models and presentations. The FP&A Intern will be working with the New Product Development team to develop a model ensuring accurate reporting of incremental sales (and margin) due to new products and product improvements. At the completion of the internship, the intern will present the new model to senior leadership.  

Location: Ballantyne, NC 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Primary responsibility of the intern is the completion of the model and related presentation  
    • Meet with stakeholders to understand key reporting elements 
    • Consolidation of data from various sources 
    • Create documentation and process flow to ensure updating the model is sustainable 
    • Create visualizations and tracking dashboards which meet the needs of stakeholders 
  • Assist with completion of Monthly and Quarterly corporate finance tasks, as needed  
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:  

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills 
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools a plus 
  • Must be able to work well with a team and independently on projects and ability to articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated 
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills are required 
  • Strong planning and organization skills are required 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Rising junior or above pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in accounting, finance, economics or business 
  • Intellectually curious to learn new finance concepts and hone excel financial modeling skills 
  • Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this role
  • Ability to work full time from June 2, 2025 to August 8, 2025
