STW: Climbing Wall Belay Attendant

Are you enthusiastic, safety-conscious, and ready to help climbers of all levels reach new heights? As a Climbing Wall Belay Attendant, you’ll be the friendly face and trusted safety partner for students and guests as they explore our wall — whether they’re beginners learning to climb or experienced climbers looking for a belay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise climbers and ensure all participants follow safety protocols.
• Provide belay support for climbers using our system that includes: a bottom belay, tubular ATC, ground anchors, and back-up belayers.
• Greet and check in all climbers and guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Help fit harnesses and gear, assist new climbers in understanding equipment, and guide those new to climbing through safety basics.
• Enforce wall policies and procedures, monitor risk, and respond professionally in emergency situations if needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Great communication and customer-service skills.
• A positive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude.
• Comfort working with a wide range of people — from first-time climbers to experienced users.
• Ability to stay calm, attentive, and safety-minded during climbs.
• Availability for at least 1 shift during climbing wall hours - Monday through Thursdays, 5:30pm - 9pm
