Job Summary

Team Penske is seeking a motivated Help Desk Intern to join our IT team in delivering technical support to end users across the organization. This internship is ideal for a student or recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting, customer service, and IT operations. In this role, the intern will assist with service requests, help resolve hardware and software issues, and contribute to the smooth operation of daily IT functions while learning from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support to employees via phone, email, and in-person requests.
  • Assist with diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Log, track, and update support tickets in the IT service management system.
  • Set up and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices under supervision.
  • Support account management tasks such as password resets and access requests.
  • Assist in maintaining IT equipment inventory and documentation.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
  • Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades, security awareness, or software rollouts.
  • Follow IT policies, procedures, and best practices while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Customer service mindset with patience and professionalism.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment.
