Job Description
Are you ready to dive into the world of data analytics? Discovery Education is looking for an energetic, creative, and passionate Data Analytics Intern to join our Science Techbook product team. Reporting to the Learning & Measurement Research Manager, this intern will play a key role in supporting various projects and contributing to data driven decision-making that improves Science Techbook experiences for teachers and students.
What You Will Do:
- Support Key Projects: Assist with the planning, execution, and evaluation of survey analysis, log data analysis, data cleaning, and insight generation initiatives that align with the department’s goals.
- Create Impactful Content: Analyze, visualize, and develop materials such as analytic summaries, dashboards, datasets, reports, slide presentations, and insight briefs.
- Contribute to Strategy: Participate in strategic discussions and contribute ideas related to data analytics, user behavior patterns, product measurement, and evidence-driven product improvements.
- Build Your Portfolio: Gain hands-on experience in data preparation, descriptive and inferential statistics, visualization techniques, and translating findings into actionable product recommendations. You’ll have the chance to work on real-world projects that will strengthen your professional portfolio.
- Analyze and Learn: Track data, analyze outcomes, review results, and surface meaningful patterns to help us refine and improve key processes or projects.

- Whether through coursework or previous experience (1–4 years), you’re eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting.
- Ability to approach challenges with creative, solution-oriented thinking.
- Enrolled in or completed a degree in Education, Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, Learning Sciences, Educational Measurement, or related social science or quantitative research fields.

Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel to our Charlotte Headquarters 2–3 times per week.
