Project Accountant Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This role joins our finance and admin team to deliver billing and financial services to Hyper Networks LLC. The Cost Accountant will perform many accounting, customer service and organizational tasks to promote the financial health of the organization.
This position will report to the CFO. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, organize, and execute financial tasks and projects of the organization.

• Make estimates of funds required for the short and long-term financial objectives of the organization.

• Complete financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and conduct monthly financial forecasts.

• Develop and implement plans for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

• Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization.

• Manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and reports.

• Evaluate the financial performance of the organization and measure returns on investments.

• Reporting and Data Collection

• Reconciliations

• Banking/Transactions

• Lead, Manage, Accountability

• WIP Management

• Payouts

• Collections

• Claim Deductions/Notifications Management

• Monitor AP/AR Specialists

• Collect and Audit Invoices prior to Submitting to Customer

• Job Cost Analysis

JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Proven knowledge of billing functions, best practices, policies, and procedures. (5+ years).

• Expert at managing multiple tasks and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. (5+ years).

• Experience in exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.

• Sage Intacct Experience (3+years) *required

• Tech savvy in working within multiple software applications including, GSuite (Sheets), and Sage Intacct (5+ years)

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational and the ability to think proactively and prioritize work.

• Demonstrates expertise in traditional construction accounting methodologies, particularly emphasizing cost-based accrual accounting for work in progress

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required

• 5-7 Year experience in similar position

• Billing and a proficient ERP system experience required
