Job Skills / Requirements
Sunstates Security is seeking an experienced Security Account Manager for a downtown Raleigh location. The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations including hiring, training, coaching, retention and staff performance. The account manager will be asked to create a culture of high performance, accountability and service delivery. In addition to personnel management, this individual will meet targeted financial goals for the account. The account manager will be required to build strong working partnerships with client leadership, employees, stakeholders, and external partners.
This position offers a salary of $68,000 - $73,000 (DOE) along with industry-leading benefits including full medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, PTO, a 401k plan with company match, tuition assistance, and more.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Recruit, coach, and manage a diverse team of security professionals while ensuring the highest level of security services to the client. Identify and recruit talent to meet the needs of the account.

Manage account finances to ensure that targeted goals are maintained. Report any over/underspending to the client on a monthly basis.

Ensure all contract compliance requirements are met.

Identify professional growth opportunities for staff and managing performance through coaching.

Keep the security team updated the team on changes and new requirements.

Coordinate training in accordance with client and Sunstates standards.

Maintain all response and operational procedures, best practices, checklists, guidelines, and standards as well as post orders.

Proactively engage client leadership. Maintain financial and performance KPI data. Develop and present accurate reports at business review meetings.

Suggest security and procedural enhancements to client leadership.

Support other operational needs as requested by the client that may include emergency response, event security, investigations, and other risk-mitigating tasks.
Competencies & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree/University degree OR equivalent experience of 4-6 years related to physical security management or relevant experience in large and complex environments.

Able to work in an office environment at least 4 days per week.

Able to earn the trust and build collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency.

Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to interpret complex data, draw actionable insights, and present solutions to the client.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present information clearly and concisely to various audiences.

Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated and independent operator with the maturity to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions and operate in dynamic settings.

Strong working proficiency with technology platforms and productivity applications. This will include various security applications, inter-office communication tools, word processing applications and data set management tools.

Able to provide occasional off-hours support during emergencies or off-hours team evaluation.

Ability to travel to support other sites or client initiatives.
