Job Description
The Senior Proposal Development Officer is responsible for preparing proposal submissions from faculty, staff, and students of the University, including determining if project proposals are consistent with the academic and research policies of the University. The position advises faculty, staff, and students on the development of project proposals, the interpretation and implementation of sponsor guidelines, and the proposal submission process. The position prepares proposal budget requests, assists faculty with the entry of relevant information into electronic research administration systems, reviews proposal components prior to submission, and prepares the proposals for final submission. They assist with the updating and processing of proposal documents (revised budgets, JIT, etc.) as needed, prior to full execution of an award. They interact and collaborate with the contracting and award management teams as well as with college and unit-based staff to support the successful life cycle of each funded project. Serves as an Authorized Organizational Representative (AOR) for the university and facilities proposal review and submission.
